At Larkrise Primary School, art contributes to the development of the whole child emotionally, aesthetically, spiritually, intellectually, creatively and socially. It creates a sense of enjoyment and purpose. It enables children to express themselves and to communicate what they see, feel and think through the use of colour, texture, form, pattern, different
materials and processes. Art offers children the opportunity to learn about the visual world and how artists from Britain
and the wider world have interpreted it, throughout history and within different cultures.
