School Day

Drop off and Pick Up

Morning Routine

The school gates will open at 8:40am.

Children can enter the school and go straight to their classroom from 8.40am until 8.55am when the gate is closed.

Reception teachers greet their class from 8:40am at the EYFS/Reception entrance.

Registration for all children will be at 8:55am and registers will close at 9am. Any children that arrive at school after 9am will be marked as late. Any children arriving after 9:30am will receive an unauthorised absent mark for the morning session.

Afternoon Routine

The school gates will open at 3:05pm

In the afternoon, children in EYFS and Year 1 will be dismissed at 3:10pm from their classrooms.

Children in years 2 – 6 will be dismissed from the main playground at 3:15pm.

School Uniform and PE Kit
Children are expected to attend school in the correct uniform. Our uniform requirements are available to view under the 'Parents' tab on our school website.

PE kits should be brought to school at the beginning of the term and should contain the items listed on the uniform requirements. Teachers will inform parents of PE days at the beginning of the year.

Kit List for School
All children should bring a fruit/vegetable snack to school and a water bottle.

Children in years 5 and 6 only should also bring a pencil case containing the following name items for individual use: writing pencils, glue stick, ruler, coloured pencils, rubber, pencil sharpener and felt-tip pens.

Children should also bring a book bag to school. Please avoid bringing in large rucksacks as it is difficult to house them in the classrooms.

Lunch
Children will eat their lunch in the school hall, and we will look to offer a wider menu, to be ordered in advance.

Enrichment Clubs and Visits
Subject to any change in restrictions, we are delighted to offer extra-curricular clubs again for years R-6. We will send out a club timetable at the beginning of each term. We also look forward to planning exciting school visits and trips for the academic year ahead.

School Events
We expect to host school events attended by parents throughout the academic year. A list of dates for your diary will be published at the beginning of the new academic year and will be included in the weekly newsletter.

Ms Allen or another member of the leadership team will be available on the school playground at the beginning and end of the day if you have any questions or would like a quick chat. Class teachers are also available to talk to at the end of the school day. If you require a confidential or personal appointment, please telephone the school office so that this can be arranged.

It is vitally important that all children, as long as they are fit and well, attend school every day, on time, to maximise learning time. If your child is unwell and unable to attend school, please notify the school office by phone or email.
